Thank you to everyone who took part in our recent survey! We’re thrilled to have received 400 responses, which provide valuable insights into the needs and priorities of our community.

Thanks to the generous donations from our members, we were able to conduct this survey and gather essential feedback. Here, we’ll share some key results and insights from your responses.

Top Policy Priorities

The highest policy priority for respondents is increasing funding for HSV research .

Increasing public awareness and education about HSV follows closely behind.

Reducing stigma about HSV and enhancing HSV prevention strategies also rank as important areas.

Top Research Priorities

Finding a cure for HSV ranked as the highest research priority among respondents.

Developing vaccines against HSV was also a high priority, followed by increasing research funding

Preferred Meeting Method for Herpes Awareness Day

Zoom is the preferred method for having a Herpes Awareness Day Meeting.

Email or an In Person event follows with a Podcast trailing close behind.

Preferred Fundraising Methods

The majority of respondents prefer emails for fundraising communication.

Other notable preferences include in-person events and Zoom events, though these were less popular than emails.

Phone calls and text messages received minimal interest.

These results indicate strong support for email-based fundraising, a high emphasis on finding a cure and vaccine development for HSV in research, and a desire to increase awareness and reduce stigma surrounding HSV in policy efforts.

With this information, Herpes Cure Advocacy is better equipped to align our organizational goals with those of our community, ensuring we’re focused on making the changes that matter most to you. Your ongoing support allows us to continue our vital work advocating for the cure, treatment, and prevention of herpes. Together, we’ve made significant strides, but there’s still more to achieve.
