July 26, 2025 @ 8:00 am - July 30, 2025 @ 5:00 pm EDT
The International Herpesvirus Workshop (IHW) is an annual conference where researchers and experts from around the world gather to discuss the latest findings on herpesviruses. It covers a broad range of topics, including:
- Virus Biology and Pathogenesis: Understanding how herpesviruses work at a cellular level, how they cause disease, and how they evade the immune system.
- Vaccine and Drug Development: Exploring potential treatments, vaccines, and therapies for herpesvirus infections.
- Immunology and Host Interactions: Studying how the immune system responds to herpesviruses and the mechanisms the viruses use to persist in the host.
- Genetics and Evolution: Research into the genetic makeup of herpesviruses, including how they evolve and adapt over time.
- Clinical Implications: Covering the impact of herpesviruses on human health, public health concerns, and emerging trends in diagnostics and treatment.
The workshop provides a collaborative space for scientists to share new insights, tools, and methodologies, helping advance the understanding and treatment of herpesvirus infections.
