Our mission —-> cure, treat and prevent herpes infections.
Herpes Cure Advocacy (HCA) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to tackling one of the world’s most prevalent but under-addressed infections: herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 (HSV1 and HSV2). Established as a 501(c)(3), the organization envisions a future free from the burden of herpes, where infection, transmission, stigma, and related complications are significantly reduced or eliminated altogether. HCA’s mission is to support the cure, treatment, and prevention of herpes infections. The organization accomplishes this through accelerating research and drug development, education, policy, and grassroots advocacy.
Our work

Drive Research for a Cure: Provide resources to move promising therapies from research stages into clinical trials, accelerating the path toward a herpes cure.

Improve Testing and Diagnosis: Promote the development of faster, more accurate testing methods for early detection, helping to reduce transmission rates and improve outcomes.

Advocate for Better Policy: Work with policymakers to develop policies that support herpes research, improve treatment options, and promote public health.

Expand Awareness and Education: Educate the community to improve treatment outcomes, reduce stigma, and dispel common misconceptions about herpes through the creation and distribution of educational materials, conference resources, and partnerships for expert-led talks.
