Upcoming Listening Sessions being offered by the CDC and NACCHO

Please note these listening sessions are not meant to inform the development of the CDC STI Treatment Guidelines.

Listening Sessions for Patients and Community

Details on separate listening sessions for health care providers and professionals are below.

CDC’s Division of STD Prevention is modernizing the STI Treatment Guidelines to align with agency-wide initiatives and make the recommendations more accessible and easier to update. CDC would like to hear diverse patient perspectives during this process. The information shared has the potential to influence the new recommendations and clinical considerations.

As a result, NACCHO is hosting listening sessions to gather perspectives regarding:

  • Values and preferences related to STI screening, detection, and treatment.
  • Patient and health care provider interactions.
  • Shared health care decision-making.
  • Communications preferences.

We are particularly interested in engagement from people 18-24, women, men who have sex with men, men who have sex with women, and gender diverse individuals.

Participants should be comfortable sharing their opinions and perspectives in a group format. Listening session comments will be shared in summary form with no identifying information.
