Updates in Genital Herpes Epidemiology: Prevalence of Diagnosis and Antiviral Treatment Use in the United States

Dr. Adva Gadoth is the Associate Director of Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases for Moderna’s early stage and latent virus vaccines, including herpes simplex virus (HSV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and mpox clinical development programs. Adva also supports epidemiologic evidence generation and non-interventional study implementation for Moderna’s global public health efforts, building off years of experience conducting complex disease surveillance and vaccination studies in low- and middle-income countries. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her MPH in Environmental Health Sciences and Toxicology from the University of Michigan.
Also joining Dr. Gadoth will be her colleague Dr. Christy Comeaux! Dr. Comeaux is a Senior Director in Clinical Development at Moderna for their latent virus vaccine programs, including herpes simplex virus (HSV). Dr. Comeaux is currently the program lead for HSV-2.
